The Strolenbergs and Dohertys joined forces in October 2014. With Gareth’s Butchery knowledge and time managing two shops and with Greg’s ex Chef, Butcher and a manager at a local wholesale meat company the stellar two embarked on a high welfare, locally farmed meat to table mission.
Both passionate about traditional butchery the pair recognised that good food can be locally sourced and sustainable, and believe the truth is in the tasting… and it is!
Low food miles means less stress for the animal and ultimately delivers a better tasting meat.
With Shimpling Park Farm, Brights farm, Blythburgh farm, Phillip Truin all on board the Lavenham Butcher’s journey began.

Sarah our part-time pie maker and Michael our mid-week delivery driver.
